Sri Lankan style devilled beef wrap- here’s how you make a wrap for real spicy food lovers.
Making these spicy beef wraps with a touch of Sri Lankan flavors will help you tick off a weekend lunch or dinner.
How I include the beef wraps into my weekly meals.
The way I do this is, I cook the Sri Lankan devil beef curry for lunch. I make the devil beef fry with two meals in mind.
So I make more than the usual portion needed then serve half of it for lunch with the usual rice and curry.
The other half can be turned into these deliciously spicy Sri Lankan style beef wraps with a few additional elements to it.
And that’s how I sort out two meals with one basic Sri Lankan dry beef recipe.
If you don’t want to serve the devilled beef on the same day and want a lighter dinner, then refrigerate the dinner portion(the one saved for the wraps) and use it within a couple of days to make this devil wrap.

Sri Lankan style devilled beef wrap.
Please make sure to read the recipe instructions carefully to avoid mistakes.
Ingredients
Ingredients mentioned below use standard measuring cups and spoons
Make the spicy devilled beef
Flatbread or tacos
2 medium-sized onions chopped or sliced fine
2 medium-sized tomatoes chopped
1 green chillie chopped fine(add more if you can handle the heat)
1 teaspoon of chillie flecks
2 tablespoons of lime juice
Salt to season
A bottle of your favorite ketchup and other condiments to drizzle over the wrap
Honey(optional and my choice of ingredient to add a bit of sweetness to the wrap, adding this ingredient to the wrap is up to you).
Method
Chop the onions, tomatoes, green chillie, add them to a bowl.
Add chillie flecks, lime juice with a pinch of salt, taste and check if the seasoning is balanced. set aside.
Toast the flatbread on both sides for a few seconds, add a few spoons of the devilled beef.
Just before you serve the wrap, add a few spoons of the onion relish(the reason I add the onion relish at the last minute is that onions tend to let out water if kept for some time, you can avoid the wrap turning too soggy by adding the onion relish at the last minute).
Drizzle a bit of ketchup on top of the devil wrap and serve immediately.
I like to also drizzle a bit of honey to add a bit of sweetness to the dish.
