I have tried making this cake but it refuses to set in the fridge, the only difference I can see is I mixed the ingredients in a bowl over boiling water and I used margarine instead of butter, any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Anthony, Thank you for trying out the recipe although I'm disappointed the biscuit cake didn't set for you. There can only be two reasons. 1/ It's not the butter but you might have not cooked the condensed milk-chocolate-butter mixture enough so that it reaches a very thick consistency before adding the biscuits. 2/not enough biscuits to absorb any extra liquid and give the no-bake cake mixture, added thickness to help stable the cake when it's chilled.

hope this helps. Regards J
